This family is one of my all time, most favorite (FAVORITE) families ever!  Not only are they blissfully full of love for one another, they're fun.  And listen, when I say fun -- I mean FUN!  There's never dull moment with the Travers family.  So of course, when Brandy asked me (again!) to be her family photographer and capture the magic and bliss that is her fabulous family, I jumped at the chance!  Laughter, snuggles, and all things wonderful, this family photography session is simply pure joy.  Here are a few of my favorites from their down home, country-inspired, barn and tractor photography session!

Adult Birthday Cake Smash! -- Scottsboro, Alabama Natural Light Portrait Photographer

What parent doesn't want to celebrate their child's first birthday with a cake smash extravaganza?

What gorgeous blond bombshell doesn't want to celebrate her twenty-something (ahem) birthday the same exact way?  Why should kids have all the fun?

High atop Sand Mountain, sunlight dancing on crisp October air, with pink balloons and a frosting-laced smile that could launch ships, that's exactly what the gorgeous (and sexy-sassy) Anna did!  It was an adult cake smash for the ages!

Adam & Sarah -- Scottsboro AL Engagement and Wedding Photographer in Huntsville AL

Adam and Sarah are most definitely in love.  From the way Sarah looks at her future groom to the way Adam brushes the hair from his bride-to-be's face, they're so obviously, wonderfully smitten with each other.  I couldn't have loved more their downtown Huntsville engagement session -- a beautiful blend of urban Autumn flair, sweet lace, and brilliant blue skies -- nor could I be more excited about photographing their wedding next May.  It's going to be a celebration for the ages: handsome groom, beautiful bride, and gorgeous details galore.  Ah, yes, the sappy romantic in me can't get enough of these two.

Natural Beauty -- Huntsville, Alabama Nature Portrait Photographer

Patti is a true, natural beauty.  She's been a follower of mine (on Facebook) for quite some time, so when she finally asked me to do a session for her, I was positively giddy with gladness.   She wanted to celebrate her 60th birthday with her first ever portrait photography, and I was more than happy to oblige.  We headed out to Hayes Nature Preserve in the the Hampton Cove area, to spend a lovely afternoon amid beloved books, peaceful solitude, and the natural beauty of shade trees and late summer grasses.  Patti, a tall, silver-haired goddess, took to the camera like a swan to water;  she was a pure joy to work with.

Mother & Daughter -- Huntsville, AL lifestyle family photographer

Jenni is a dear -- dear! -- friend of mine.  Over the last year and a half we've gone from "nice to meet you" to working as business partners on weddings as Tulip & Thistle Wedding Photography.  She's an amazing photographer who has allowed me to sit-in and absorb her editing techniques, shared photography tips, and don't even get me started on the amount of cheerleading she's supplied me with.  She's pretty much just an amazing woman -- clever, witty, honest, and down-to-earth.  I thank my lucky stars to have stumbled into our friendship.

Of course I was more than happy to do a few head shots for her!  I even invited her beautiful daughter along for a few Mommy & Me captures, just outside Huntsville in the heart of Madison, Alabama.  It was definitely one of the highlights of my summer photography experiences.  Gorgeous sunlight, wildflowers, that earthy Secret Garden vibe -- and two beauties for the price of one!
